Brad Arkin, senior manager, Symantec Security Learning Services
Brad Arkin manages Symantec Security Learning Services for the Americas. His primary area of expertise is helping organizations improve the security of their applications. Brad has helped Symantec clients successfully integrate security into all phases of the software development process, including developer training, security requirements engineering, threat-modeling exercises, secure architecture/design, and mature quality processes utilizing code reviews and security testing.
Brad has also developed and executed vendor and application security assessment programs to help clients evaluate and measure the security of applications developed and/or operated externally. Brad has significant experience with J2EE applications, high reliability systems in the areas of gaming and electronic voting, applied cryptography, network security, wireless networks, and secure random number generation.
Brad received a double major B.S. in Computer Science and Mathematics from The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Va., and a M.S. in Computer Science with an emphasis in Computer Security from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. Brad holds MBA degrees from Columbia Business School and London Business School. He has seven published research papers in computer security and mathematics. |
